Pretty much everything here originally appeared at my actual blog: By Singing Light. I particularly focus on upper middle-grade and young adult books. I also enjoy adult genre books, especially speculative fiction.

A Sorrowful Joy (The Harold M. Wit Lectures)

A Sorrowful Joy - Albert J. Raboteau The spiritual autobiography of an African-American professor, detailing his life from his birth after his father was murdered, through his baptism into Catholicism, his spiritual falling away, and then his chrismation into Orthodoxy. Beautifully written and very touching.
